Finger Puppet Mafia
The Past
The Mafia has had some pretty remarkable teams in our 8 years of this program. We’d like to highlight our past seasons. Though these amazing people have graduated and left we can still see their impact on our team today.
2020 - 2021 Ultimate Goal
This season presented many challenges for our members. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic made it difficult for the team to meet together, all events were virtual, and the notebook was compressed into a fifteen-page portfolio. This team experienced many challenges and hardships. To push past these challenges the team decided to suspend their season and put their efforts into the next. They spent their time training younger members as two valuable seniors were leaving. They trained on the equipment and programs in the lab and focused on building next year’s team. This team sacrificed their season so seasons to come can succeed.

2019-2020 Skystone
With only two returning members this season there was a lot to do. Coming off a high from the World’s Championship last season this team had high goals. From the beginning of the season, they proved themselves a threat to other teams. At the Iowa super qualifier tournament, they were the winning alliance captains and won the design award. Heading into the state competition they had high hopes of qualifying for the World Championships. However, tough obstacles were in their way and unfortunately, their season ended at the state level. This team learned so much, overcame many challenges and accomplished many goals.
